Most Needed Items

If you would like to donate food items, we have a current “Most Needed Items” list available.

Helping end food insecurity to families in need and individuals in our community who currently go without proper food and shelter due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, age, domestic violence, or divorce.

While all of us are susceptible to hard times, children and the elderly are at the most risk, and they make up a large number of clients we serve.

The Edson Food Bank Society was a purely volunteer based operation until recently. We hired a part-time program coordinator and a part-time warehouse supervisor, to help meet the demand and better serve our community. Our volunteers are still the core of our operation and we could not operate without them! We believe in “community serving community” and promote respect and dignity when serving our clients. Food insecurity is an ongoing concern in many communities, due to a variety of factors including but not limited to job loss, low income, and limited resources. Food Banks are an essential service needed to help bridge this gap.

The Edson Food Bank Society serves 1000s of households, every year.
